Founded in 2008 by Melanie Stimmell and Remco Van Latum, The Street Painting Society is the only organization of it's kind in the world. Bringing together an international community of artists, festivals, and photographers, we strive to encourage art awareness and appreciation by fostering a sense of community and education.

Our members are encouraged to create online profiles and portfolios to showcase their talents and promote their artwork or event, and make connections with others who share their passion for bringing the asphalt to life.

SPS is also available to offer guidance to new events and festivals.  Feel free to contact us directly or scroll through our community to find an artist in your area.

Lee Jones

Bio: 

Lee Jones grew up in America's Dairyland, Wisconsin, specifically the capital city of Madison. As a child her father supplied her with everything she could ever possibly need to satisfy her creative impulses. She painted, drew, crafted, and experimented with all types of media. As the years passed, she continued to be intrigued and talented in the area of art.

She was accepted to Madison Area Technical College's Commercial Art program, which was ranked 4th in the nation, and completed two years of extensive technical training before receiving an Associate's Degree.  Since graduating in 1982, Lee has worked for several years as a free lance artist, production artist, and managed a printing company, before opening her own design studio, LJ Designs, in 1990.

Then in 1994 she was introduced to street painting and immediately fell in love with this centuries old art form. She has been street painting throughout Central Florida and in festivals all across the country ever since.
